REGINA, SK – Regina is in for a week of varying weather, beginning with a cool and cloudy day, but the sun is ready to make a strong comeback by the end of the week.

Today, the temperature will rise to around 22°C under mostly cloudy skies, with a 60% chance of showers late in the afternoon. Winds will be gusty, coming from the southeast at 30 km/h, making it feel cooler. Tonight, expect the showers to continue early in the evening with the possibility of a thunderstorm, followed by clearing skies as the temperature drops to 6°C.

Thursday will be a bit cooler with a high of 16°C and continued cloudy skies with a 60% chance of showers throughout the day. But don’t worry, Friday marks the beginning of a sunny stretch, with temperatures rising to 26°C and staying warm and clear through the weekend. By Monday, Regina will enjoy a sunny high of 29°C.

Historically, late August in Regina sees average highs around 23°C, so this week’s weather is right on target. However, the cool start to the week is a reminder of the unpredictable nature of Saskatchewan’s weather as we transition from summer to fall.

Wardrobe Tip: Layer up for the cooler and cloudier days ahead, but have your summer gear ready as the sunshine and warmth return by Friday.
