(Dryden, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Dryden have arrested and charged a 31-year-old resident with spousal assault following an incident on First Street in the early hours of August 20, 2024.
At approximately 1:00 a.m., OPP officers responded to a call at a residence in Dryden, leading to the arrest. The individual faces the following charges under the Criminal Code of Canada:
- Assault – Spousal
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm – Spousal
The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden at a later date. To protect the victim’s identity, the OPP will not be releasing the name of the accused.
