Porter Airlines adds Calgary to its list of new destinations

New Embraer E195-E2 aircraft boosts Thunder Bay passenger capacity by over 10%

Thunder Bay – BUSINESS – Porter Airlines is set to enhance its service to Thunder Bay with a new route connecting Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Thunder Bay International Airport (YQT). This route, which will operate three roundtrips per week, introduces the 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, starting October 16, 2024.

Porter, which has been a vital part of the Thunder Bay community since 2009, already offers up to five daily flights to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and twice daily flights to Ottawa (YOW) using the Dash 8-400 aircraft.

The addition of the Toronto Pearson route will increase Thunder Bay’s passenger capacity by more than 10%.

Route Schedule
October 16 – October 26, 2024
YYZ-YQT: Departs 7:05 a.m., Arrives 9:00 a.m. (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday)
YQT-YYZ: Departs 9:55 a.m., Arrives 11:42 a.m.

October 27, 2024 – 2025 Winter Season
YYZ-YQT: Departs 7:20 a.m., Arrives 9:15 a.m. (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)
YQT-YYZ: Departs 10:10 a.m., Arrives 11:57 a.m.

Passengers on the new Embraer E195-E2 will enjoy Porter’s signature elevated economy experience, which includes no middle seats, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, premium snacks, and fast, free Wi-Fi.

Porter remains the largest airline serving Thunder Bay, offering connections to Toronto (YYZ, YTZ) and Ottawa (YOW).
