Gorham Township, ON – A single-vehicle ATV collision in the early hours of August 4, 2024, has resulted in impaired driving charges against a Gorham Township resident.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment by EMS.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver had been impaired by alcohol. The individual, identified as 50-year-old Emilio BISIGNANO of Gorham, was arrested and transported to the Thunder Bay Detachment for further testing.
BISIGNANO has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following offenses:
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on September 18, 2024.
