THUNDER BAY – As reported Saturday on NetNewsLedger, Thunder Bay Police are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning, August 3, in the 100 block of Picton Avenue. Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area at approximately 1:40 am.

One individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The investigation is being led by the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit, and residents may notice a continued police presence in the area as the investigation progresses.
