SHUNIAH, ON – The Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is requesting public assistance following the theft of goods from a transport truck trailer.

On July 20, 2024, Thunder Bay OPP responded to a report of a break-in at a transport truck trailer parked at the Flying J Truck Stop on Highway 11-17 in Shuniah. The stolen items include electronics, iPads, tablets, cell phones, and clothing.

So if someone out there is offering a great deal on a cell phone, iPad or other electronics, keep in mind it could be stolen merchandise. In the case of ipads and iPhones, they are trackable, and will likely cause more grief than the “steal of a deal” is worth.

If you have any information regarding this theft, please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. To remain anonymous, you can reach Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit tips online at www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
