No New Wildland Fires Confirmed

As of the early evening of July 18, no new wildland fires have been confirmed in the Northwest Region. Currently, there are eight active fires. One fire is under control, while the remaining seven are being monitored.

Wildland Fire Hazard Levels

The wildland fire hazard is predominantly moderate across the Northwest Region, with some scattered pockets of low and high hazard in most sectors. There is a small zone with an extreme hazard value towards the north end of Woodland Caribou Provincial Park.

Safety Reminder: Stay Clear of Waterbombers

When waterbombers approach a body of water, please move close to the shore to allow them to scoop safely. Waterbombers will not scoop from a lake or river if watercraft are encroaching and posing a safety hazard.
