Presented by Ontario Power Generation, the summer concert series starts Wednesday, July 17, 2024, with free admission.

Thunder Bay’s highly anticipated Live on the Waterfront concert series is back, promising an exciting summer of music and community. The event, held at Marina Park, begins on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 6 pm and features a diverse lineup of talented musicians from Thunder Bay and across Canada.

5:45 p.m:

The Lieutenant Governor and Mayor will offer remarks at the opening night of Live on the Waterfront. This event brings together locals, visitors, and music enthusiasts to enjoy an evening of live entertainment, community spirit, and the scenic beauty of Lake Superior.

Cold Lake Sun (6:00 pm): This five-piece indie-alternative band delivers tightly crafted, upbeat, and emotionally resonant songs with a new wave and dreampop vibe.

The Sensational Hot Rods (7:00 pm): These performers bring the fabulous 50s to life with their authentic sound and engaging stage presence.

Daniel Romano’s Outfit (8:00 pm): Known for their high-energy live shows, this Canadian indie rock band promises a performance to remember.

“Each performance will offer something unique and provide a fantastic way to spend a Wednesday evening,” said Karen Kadolph, Special Events Developer. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of food vendors, artisans, community groups, outdoor games, and crafts each night.

Recognized as one of Ontario’s Top 100 events by Festivals & Events Ontario, Live on the Waterfront is a must-attend highlight of the summer, ensuring a high-quality and enjoyable experience for all.

Parking and Transportation: Paid parking is now in effect at Marina Park. Attendees are encouraged to carpool, use public transit, or choose active transportation options like walking or biking to avoid parking fees and make their visit more eco-friendly.
