CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball has just dropped the lineup for the 2024 18U National Team Training Camp, slated for July 17-21 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina!

This year’s coaching roster is a powerhouse, headlined by 18U National Team Manager Rick Eckstein and stacked with nine former big-league legends, including MLB All-Stars David Eckstein, Brad Penny, and Stephen Strasburg. With five pros bringing their coaching chops and five coaches boasting national team experience, this staff is ready to bring the heat.

“We are thrilled with the staff that we have put together for this year’s 18U National Team Training Camp,” said Brett Curll, 18U National Team Program Director. “From top to bottom, this staff offers unmatched experience in the baseball world. The athletes at Training Camp will benefit greatly from being around our coaching staff, and we look forward to watching this group’s impact on our quest for a gold medal.”

The Training Camp will showcase 84 players across four teams, guided by the stellar coaching staff. Each squad will have its own manager, pitching coach, and assistant coach, ensuring top-notch development and competition.

The camp, running from July 17-21, will be packed with on-field workouts, intrasquad games, and more, all leading up to the final roster announcement on July 22. The chosen 20-player squad will then gear up to represent the USA at the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier in Panama City, Panama, from August 2-11.
