Two Dryden Residents Facing Drug Charges

DRYDEN, ON – An investigation by the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), supported by the Dryden OPP Detachment, has resulted in charges against two local residents.

On July 2, 2024, just before 11:00 PM, officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on North Minnitaki Road in the Municipality of Machin. During the search, officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, Canadian currency, and evidence indicative of drug trafficking.

Charges and Details:

  • Jaden SKYE, 22, of Minnitaki, faces charges under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:
    • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
    • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Vanessa SKYE, 52, of Minnitaki, has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
    • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

Both individuals have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on July 29, 2024.
