Overnight Stabbing on Amelia Street Leads to Arrest

Thunder Bay – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police Service officers from the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to the 200 block of Amelia Street shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, following reports of an assault.

Medical Assistance and Victim’s Condition
Upon arrival, officers found a security guard with injuries indicative of a stabbing. Both officers and paramedics provided immediate medical assistance, and the victim was transported to the hospital with injuries that are considered non-life-threatening.

Suspect Identification and Arrest
The investigation quickly led to the identification of a suspect. Later on Thursday, members of the Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit located and arrested the suspect.

Charges and Court Appearance
Patrick Simon Raymond WOOD, 33, of Thunder Bay, faces multiple charges, including Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and four counts of Breach of Probation. WOOD appeared in court on Thursday and has been remanded into custody pending a future appearance.
