Red Lake OPP Respond to Float Plane Crash

(RED LAKE, ON) – Five individuals have been transported to hospital to be treated for injuries following a float plane crash.

On June 16, 2024, shortly before 7:00 a.m., members of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Fire responded to a float plane crash on Pickerel Drive in the Municipality of Red Lake.

Two individuals were seriously injured and three sustained minor injuries. All individuals have been transported to hospital by EMS to be treated for their injuries.

The investigation is now being overseen by the Ministry of Safety Board.
