THUNDER BAY – Entertainment – Celebrate Venice and Italian culture as Consortium Aurora Borealis presents “Viva Vivaldi!”, our annual concert of music from Italy!

Marvel at our soloists’ virtuosic dexterity and breadth of expression as they perform.  Immerse yourself in all things Venetian with vibrant works by the ever-popular Antonio Vivaldi, dubbed the “Red Priest” because of his hair colour.

We offer up spirited Baroque concerti for flute, bassoon, and cello, with soloists Doris Dungan, bassoonist Michael Quigley, and Peter Cosbey respectively. They are supported by our fine string ensemble and harpsichord, led by violinist Katie Stevens. Vivaldi’s exuberant music is sure to dazzle and delight!

Enjoy a stunning Venetian slideshow by Elizabeth Ganiatsos at intermission.

Our 2024-2025 concerts will be announced, and 46th Season passes may be ordered at that time. A short reception follows.

This concert is sponsored by The Leishman Family In Memory of Dr. Donald M. Leishman.
