FORT FRANCES, ON The Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has launched an investigation into a tragic collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian. The incident unfolded on December 20, 2023, shortly after 6:30 p.m., prompting a swift response from members of the Rainy River District OPP Detachment and Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Pedestrian Succumbs to Injuries

Following the collision on Second Street East in the Town of Fort Frances, the injured pedestrian was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, on December 24, 2023, hospital staff conveyed the somber news that the 29-year-old individual had tragically succumbed to their injuries.
