Thunder Bay – ROADS UPDATE – On December 26, 2023, at 8:00 p.m., members of the Thunder Bay, Ignace and Atikokan Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachments, have closed the following sections of highway.
· Highway 17 at Highway 102 (Sistonens Corners) to Highway 17 at Highway 599 near Ignace.
· Highway 11 at Highway 17 (Shabaqua Corners) to Highway 11 at Highway 11B near Atikokan.
The highways are closed due to road and weather conditions. Traffic control is in place.
The O.P.P. will distribute details and updates of the road closure as information becomes available.
