THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – The NetNewsLedger Weather Desk is reporting on a Snowfall Warning for Deer Lake, Sandy Lake and Weagamow Lake in Northern Ontario. From 15 to 25 centimetres of snow is expected.

Snowfall is predicted to commence late overnight or Friday morning, with the snow becoming heavy at times during the day. Snowfall should begin to taper off on Saturday morning. Additionally, northerly winds are forecasted to increase, gusting up to 50 km/h on Friday night, potentially leading to areas of poor visibility due to blowing snow.

There is also a risk of freezing rain late overnight into Friday morning. Visibility may suddenly decrease at times due to heavy snow.
