Aggravated Assault: Teen Hospitalized, 19-Year-Old Arrested

On December 2, 2023, at 10:45 p.m., Thunder Bay Police responded to an assault near the old elevator on Forest Avenue. A 16-year-old male was seriously injured, and a 17-year-old female was also assaulted. Maximus Kitchkeesic, 19, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault, and Uttering Threats.

Axe Assault: Man Struck with Axe, Suspect Apprehended

On December 1, 2023, around 6:00 p.m., a 45-year-old male was hospitalized after being struck with an axe during an altercation on North Cumberland Street. Lennox Trimble, 31, was arrested at an apartment on Cumberland Street and charged with Aggravated Assault.

Both suspects were remanded into custody following court appearances.
