Embraer E195-E2 – A Game Changer for Porter Airlines

Porter Airlines has made waves as the North American launch customer for Embraer’s E195-E2 aircraft. Enhanced Comfort and Options for Passengers

Porter Airlines has opted to configure its 146-seat E195-E2 aircraft in a comfortable 132-seat all-economy layout. The airline is committed to offering its passengers a range of seat pitches, including 36, 34, and 30 inches, ensuring that every traveler’s needs are met. This customer-centric approach is a hallmark of Porter’s commitment to passenger satisfaction.

Porter Airlines’ Leadership Speaks

Michael Deluce, President and CEO of Porter Airlines, expressed his enthusiasm about this expansion, saying, “At Porter, we entered a new era when we began operating the E195-E2 earlier this year. The jet is exceeding our expectations, especially in terms of fuel use, and delivering an incredible level of customer satisfaction to our passengers with a quiet, comfortable ride. These additional 25 orders enable us to continue extending our reach throughout North America, with more exciting new destinations.”

Embraer’s Perspective

Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, commented on this partnership, saying, “Porter Airlines is an exciting disrupter delivering an elevated passenger experience that’s shaking up the North American market. Choosing the E2 to deliver an upgraded service is a huge endorsement of the jet’s comfort and capabilities, and a further endorsement of the E2 – the world’s quietest and most fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft.”

Porter Airlines’ strategic move to acquire more E195-E2 aircraft solidifies its position as a leader in North American aviation, and passengers can look forward to an enhanced travel experience as the airline continues to expand its reach across the continent.
