On October 5, 2023, around 6:00 p.m., Greenstone OPP officers responded to a report of multiple monuments being vandalized at a local cemetery. The destructive act sparked immediate police action to address the situation.

Charges Laid

As a result of the investigation, Jonathan KITCHKEESIC-WYNN-SHAWAYAHAMISH, a 33-year-old resident of Geraldton, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Mischief Under $5,000: 20 counts
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking
