These incidents are primarily linked to offences outlined in the Liquor Licence and Control Act (LLCA). However, the specific closure of the LCBO on Sundays and Mondays has triggered a marked decrease in law enforcement activity on these days when compared to the rest of the week, when the LCBO operates.

Between September 2, 2022, and July 31, 2023, a comparative analysis of police activity reveals striking differences:
- Calls for Service: The Sioux Lookout OPP recorded an average reduction of 61 percent in calls for service on Sundays and Mondays compared to the remainder of the week.
