Fifty Years of Folklore Festival Ready to Go
Thunder Bay – LIVING – The Folklore Festival is a two-day event that takes place on the first weekend of May at the Fort William Gardens. The festival features a wide variety of activities, including live music and dance performances, cultural exhibits, craft demonstrations, and food vendors. There are also activities for children, such as face painting and storytelling.
“Travel the World in 48 Hours” at the 50th Anniversary Folklore Festival 2023 May 6th-7th at the Fort William Gardens and Curling Club in Thunder Bay, Ontario presented by the Thunder Bay Multicultural Association. Tantalizing international foods, imported wines and beers, incredible entertainment, “shop-the-world” booths, an activity-packed Children’s Area with all FREE activities (running 12 to 6pm Daily), beautiful exhibits and displays, and local artists on site await you.
Folklore Festival, the Region’s most colourful event of the year, will take visitors and participants on a “Trip Around the World” in two fun-filled days allowing them to experience the magnificent sights, sounds and flavours woven into the fabric of our country by our various ethnocultural and Indigenous Communities. We are proud to celebrate the rich cultural heritages that make Canada one of the greatest and most diverse nations on our planet.
Dance to our Saturday night Feature Entertainers, The Chain Sat. May 6th from 7:30pm-10:30pm. The Chain will take visitors on a Sizzling Journey across North America bringing Blues, Soul, and Rock to the Folklore Festival Main Stage.
