Christopher PAQUETTE and Robyn Parker Face Drug Trafficking Charges in Red Lake

METHAMPHETAMINE AND CASH SEIZED

RED LAKE – NEWS – On April 25, 2023, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Red Lake Detachment officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 105 in the Municipality of Red Lake, resulting in the arrest of two individuals.

During the investigation, officers suspected that the occupants of the vehicle were in possession of a controlled substance and arrested them. With assistance from the Red Lake Detachment Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), police confiscated a quantity of methamphetamine, a variety of illegal pills, Canadian currency, evidence of drug trafficking, and a prohibited weapon. The street value of the drugs seized was over $5,000.

Christopher PAQUETTE, a 38-year-old from Kenora, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a Schedule I substance, occupying a motor vehicle with a prohibited weapon, and possessing a prohibited weapon contrary to a Prohibition Order.

Robyn PARKER, a 34-year-old from Red Lake, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession of a Schedule I substance.

Both suspects were held in custody pending a bail hearing. PAQUETTE was remanded into custody, while PARKER was released and is scheduled to appear in Red Lake court on May 18, 2023, to answer to the charges.
