Arrested and Charged with Drug Offences in Geraldton: Chad Cyr and Crystel Ogushing

GREENSTONE – NEWS – On April 12, 2023, a search warrant was executed by the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit and Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, along with the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service, at a residence on Third Avenue Southeast in the Town of Geraldton. The search resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of various illicit substances, including cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, and psylocibin, as well as Canadian currency and items related to drug trafficking.

Chad Cyr, 27, and Crystel Ogushing, 29, both of Geraldton, have been charged with multiple offences under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), including trafficking in Schedule I substances such as cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of Schedule I substances for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The accused have been remanded into custody and are expected to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greenstone at a later date.
