TORONTO – SPORTS – Tim Hortons has pulled it’s sponsorship of Hockey Canada for the 2022-23 season. The move is a result of what Tim Horton’s says in a statement a result of the ongoing demands for change in Hockey Canada’s leadership.

The move comes as the ongoing scandal over how Hockey Canada has dealt with allegations of sexual abuse of players by coaches in Canada’s hockey world.

Tim Hortons decision means that funding is removed for the men’s world junior championships.

Tim Hortons initially suspended its sponsorship in June, 2022 says in a statement that the company has “Communicated to Hockey Canada on many occasions that the organization needs to take strong and definitive action” in order to regain the faith and trust of Canadians.
