$270,000 in Drugs Seized and Over $5000 in Cash
THUNDER BAY – NEWS Updated – Thunder Bay Police arrested a Thunder Bay man and seized drugs valued at more than a $270,000 following the search of a north-side home that occurred on Wednesday evening. In addition over $5000 in cash was seized by police.
The Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a residential address in the 300 block of High Street North just before 8:10 pm on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
The warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activity at that address.
When police entered the home, they located and arrested a male suspect.
The accused was transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street.
Following a search of the home police located and seized a quantity of suspected hydromorphone tablets, hydromorphone, oxycodone tablets, morphine tablets, cocaine, cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
The estimated street value of drugs seized totals nearly $270,000 CAD.
Evan Robert NUMMIKOSKI, 27, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Morphine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
He appeared in bail court on Thursday, October 6, 2022 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
All accused are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
