THUNDER BAY – LIVING – After the COVID driven break, The Friends of Chippewa Park are pleased to announce that the popular outdoor concert – Sundays in the Park will start again on July 3 and continue throughout the summer.

“We are pleased to be back offering entertainment each Sunday throughout the summer once again” said, Friends President Lorraine Lortie, the coordinator of the concerts. “this two year gap has seemed like ages.” She went on to indicate that “these free, outdoor concerts are designed to celebrate the musical talent in our community while providing a broad range of residents the chance to be outdoors and well entertained.”

The opening act on July 3 will be Southern Comfort with Windsong following on July 10.  A full schedule can be found at www.chippewapark.ca.

The concerts run from 2 pm to 4 pm each Sunday until the labour day weekend. The performances are held on the outdoor stage on the lake side of the 97-year-old Pavilion.

The concert series is offered by The Friends of Chippewa Park with financial support from the City of Thunder Bay’s Recreation and Culture Division.
