THUNDER BAY – Long-time Red River Ward councillor Brian McKinnon will not be running in 2022 in Thunder Bay’s civic election.
That opens the door for Jason Veltri or James Dean March who have filed nomination papers.
McKinnon has served the Red River ward for 15 years as Councillor.
Cody Fraser in Neebing, and Rebecca Johnson have also declared that they are not going to seek re-election.
Brian Hamilton is, thus far the only candidate seeking re-election running in the McKellar Ward of the sitting council.
