Charges Laid in Disappearance of Alyssa Turnbull

NIPIGON – NEWS – The Ontario Provincial Police have made an arrest in conjunction with the disappearance of Alyssa Turnbull.

Turnbull, a 26-year-old woman was last seen alive in Nipigon in late March of 2020. Her mother reported her missing in April of 2020.

A suspect is in custody alleged to be involved in the disappearance of Alyssa Turnbull.

Nicholas Soos, a 27-year-old male from Nipigon was arrested on Monday by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Soos is charged with:

  • Two charges of interference with the human remains of Alyssa Turnbull
  • One charge of improper disposal of human remains
  • One charge of obstructing justice.

The body of Alyssa Turnbull has yet to be discovered.

Nicholas Soos was remanded in custody.
