Threat Over at Parliament Hill in Ottawa

OTTAWA – NEWS – Ottawa Police report that following an investigation, no public safety threat was identified at Parliament Hill.

Police say that at about 4:00 PM, the area was cleared and is now accessible to the public.

The investigation found two persons of interest who were located along with two vehicles of interest which were also the subject of their investigation.

Police have not announced any arrests, however they do say the investigation remains open.

“In co-ordination with security and policing partners, officers began to clear the area, closing streets to vehicle and pedestrian traffic,” police said on their Twitter account. “No public safety threat has been identified.”
