RED LAKE – ROADS UPDATE – The Ministry of Transportation has completed an inspection of the Buller Creek Bridge.

That inspection has revealed issues with the structure.

As a result Highway 105 remains CLOSED at the Buller Creek Bridge until repairs can be completed. MTO has advised it will provide more information and timelines as the repair progresses.

The Quibell detour remains OPEN for passenger vehicles only.

The town of Red Lake report that crews continue to perform regular maintenance on this route and as a result travellers should expect intermittent delays.

The Highway 601/Railbed detour continues to be open and load restrictions have been temporarily lifted on this route for the transportation of essential supplies to Red Lake.

The Municipality continue to have regular meetings with MTO, Domtar and Emergency Management Ontario regarding road access to Red Lake.
