THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.

Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:
- City of Thunder Bay
Hazards:
Damaging wind gusts up to 110 km/h.
Dime to ping pong ball sized hail.
Heavy downpours.
Timing: This evening into the early overnight.
Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
