Sudden Death on Balmoral Deemed a Homicide

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – On Monday May 23, 2022 at approximately 1:27 p.m. police responded to a call for assistance in the area of 1400 Balmoral Street.

A deceased male, identified as Cody BULMER, 30, of Thunder Bay was located deceased at the residence.

Members of the TBPS’s Major Crimes and Forensic Identification became involved in the continued investigation. A post-mortem examination of the victim took place in Toronto.

As a result of their ongoing investigative efforts, police are now treating the sudden death of BULMER as a homicide.

Arrest warrants have been issued for the following males wanted for Second-Degree Murder:

  • Josh KAKEGAMIC, 44, of Thunder Bay
  • Daniel BLAIS, 35, of Thunder Bay.

KAKEGAMIC and BLAIS are believed to be still in Thunder Bay. The accused and deceased are known to each other.
