Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Dryden – Vermilion Bay

DRYDEN – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunder Storm Watch for Dryden and Vermilion Bay.

Severe thunderstorms are possible beginning late this afternoon through this evening.

The main threats will be torrential downpours giving local rainfall amounts of 50 mm or more, up to quarter sized hail, and wind gusts to 90 km/h.

Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:

  • Dryden – Vermilion Bay
  • Ignace – English River

The threat of severe thunderstorms will end near midnight.
