Frost Advisories in Effect Across Western Ontario to Start Victoria Day

THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Its will be a frosty start to Victoria Day across Western Ontario.

Environment Canada has issued Frost Advisories from Kenora, to Fort Frances, Atikokan, Quetico, Superior West, and the City of Thunder Bay.

Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost. Patchy frost is expected tonight as temperatures are forecast to dip to close to the freezing mark under clear skies.

Temperatures will rise quickly above freezing after sunrise Monday morning.

It is suggested by the weather service that you take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
