DRYDEN – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued a Frost Warning for parts of Western Ontario.

Frost advisory in effect for:

  • Dryden – Vermilion Bay
  • Ignace – English River
  • Ear Falls – Perrault Falls – Western Lac Seul
  • Red Lake – Woodland Caribou Park
  • Fort Frances – Emo – Rainy River
  • Seine River Village – Mine Centre
  • Kenora – Grassy Narrows

Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost.

Patchy frost continues this morning and is expected again tonight into Sunday morning.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
