THUNDER BAY – Election 360 – Ontario New Democrat Leader Andrea Horwath will be in Thunder Bay on Thursday night and Friday. Horwath is the second party leader to visit Thunder Bay.
Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford was in the city at the Heddle Shipyards on Saturday the 7th of May.
Horwath picked up the endorsement from the Ontario Public Service Employees Union this week, as well as the Ontario Labour Federation, countering six union endorsements of the Doug Ford Progressive Conservatives.
Earlier on Thursday the New Democrat leader will be in Sault Ste. Marie, joined by local candidate Michele McCleave-Kennedy, to announce the NDP’s plan for jobs that actually pay the bills. As advance polls open up, Andrea will meet with first time and young voters.
In Thunder Bay, on Thursday evening Horwath will meet privately with Indigenous leaders from Northwestern Ontario.
Full details of the Thunder Bay plans for Friday have not been released yet.
