Northern Ontario Party Announces Two Thunder Bay Candidates

THUNDER BAY – ELECTION 360 – The Northern Ontario Party will be running 2 candidates in the Ontario Election dated June 2/2022
The candidates are as follows:

  • Andy Wolff for Thunder Bay – Superior North
  • Kenneth Jones for Thunder Bay – Atikokan

Wolff and Jones will be campaigning on the following platform:

ENERGY
We plan on opposing the dumping of nuclear waste in our region as they propose in Ignace. Also, we will fight for having more development and implementation of hydro power in our region.

HEALTH CARE REFORM
Provide incentives to doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses to work in our region. To refabricate former healthcare facilities for long term care

NORTHERN DEVELOPMENT AND MINES
Establish a manufacturing policy where at least 50% of raw resources are refined in our region

EDUCATION
Transfer more power to the local school boards have more control over their budget and curriculum

NATURAL RESOURCES
Create a Northern Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources

TRANSPORTATION
Develop a four-lane highway ALL across the Northern Ontario region.

HOUSING INFRASTRUCTURE
Combine Provincial and Municipal ministries to eliminate duplicated and excessive spending
As mentioned before, utilize former government facilities to address homelessness

FINANCE & TAXATION

A salary cap of $350,000/year for ALL public servants

SOCIAL SERVICES & ENVIRONMENT
Review government programs to determine if they address those in need to meet the cost of living. Place a Carbon Tariff on imports from excessive carbon producing countries of 10%
