IGNACE – NEWS UPDATE – A fire at the Resolute sawmill in Ignace on Sunday has been put out.
Louis Bourchard from Resolute tells NetNewsLedger, “There was a fire at our Ignace facility yesterday morning. The fire was located in the kiln and the damages are important.
“I am not in a position to comment on the origin of the fire as an investigation will be required for us to understand precisely what caused it.
“42 employees currently work at our Ignace sawmill and operations will be maintained. Lumber will be sent to our Atikokan plant for drying.”
