Kenora Prepares for Rising Water Levels

KENORA – CLIMATE – Contractors will be completing work to raise the road surface in anticipation of rising water levels on the Anderson Road just west of the Carlton Road intersection in Kenora.

The locations will be on Anderson Branch and Carlton Road Intersection area starting today, Monday, May 16, and at the north side of Alcock Lake on Carlton Road starting Tuesday, May 17.

Truck traffic will be using Carlton Road.

Work is expected to begin later this afternoon, May 16. Local access for residents will be maintained however, delays are expected while work occurs.

Local Contactors and City Crews will continue to address areas of concern over the coming days along the Anderson Road and Carlton Road.

Further updates will follow as the situation is continually monitored.
