THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police have arrested and charged a Thunder Bay man following an investigation into a recent sexual assault.
Investigators with the Thunder Bay Police Service recently learned that an incident of sexual assault had occurred at a residential address in the 100 block of Peter Street in the late afternoon hours of Friday, May 13.
A male suspect was identified, and officers located and arrested the accused without further incident just before 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 15.
The suspect was transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street.
Gary Bruce LAMONT, 60, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Sexual Assault
He appeared in bail court on Monday, May 16 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date of Thursday, May 19, 2022.
LAMONT was previously charged by the Thunder Bay Police Service with Sexual Assault on Jan. 8, 2022, and Sexual Assault with a Weapon on Jan. 10, 2022.
