THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – There are no weather alerts or warnings for the region today. However, Kenora and Red Lake along with Fort Frances are all in a state of emergency due to flooding in their areas.

Thunder Bay

After a beautiful Tuesday, Thunder Bay will be almost as warm again today. The temperature this morning is a bit on the cooler side at +2. The high for today will be +20. Expect mainly sunny skies today, with light winds during the day.

For tonight, clouds will roll in along with a 40 per cent chance of precipitation. Showers are likely after midnight. There will be a risk of a thunderstorm overnight. The low will be +8. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are forecast.

Fort Frances

It is +3 this morning in Fort Frances. The high for the day will reach 22. The morning will start with clear and sunny skies. However increasing clouds this afternoon along with northeast winds at 20 km/h are forecast.

The UV Index will be 8 or high.

For Wednesday evening, expect rain showers along with the risk of a thunderstorm. Precipitation amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected. The winds will shift to the east at 20 km/h before becoming light around midnight. The overnight low will be 11.

Dryden and Vermilion Bay

It is +7 in Dryden at the airport this morning. The high for Wednesday will be 18. Skies this morning will be mainly sunny however clouds will be rolling in around noon.

The UV Index is 8 or High.

This evening will be mainly cloudy with rain and the risk of a thunderstorm. Local rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are forecast. The low overnight will be 8.

Sachigo Lake

Good morning Sachigo Lake! It is +2 under clear skies this morning heading to a daytime high of 15.

Skies will be mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent possibility of rain this morning and early in the afternoon. Skies will be clearing this afternoon.

The UV Index will be 5 or Moderate.

This evening skies will be clear. Winds will be westerly at 20 km/h before becoming light later this evening. Overnight low of +5.
