KENORA – NEWS – It was a busy weekend for OPP in Kenora.

The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 223 calls over the weekend between Friday May 6, 2022 and Monday May 9, 2022.

Police responded to a variety of calls on the weekend and laid 20 charges under the Criminal Code, the Highway Traffic Act, and the Liquor Licence Act. Some of the calls Police attended were;

  • 11 Alarm
  • 5 Ambulance Assistance
  • 6 Attempt or Threat of Suicide
  • 3 Assaults
  • 1 Break and Enter
  • 3 Bail Violations
  • 7 Domestic Dispute
  • 4 Eticket-Vehicle
  • 2 Impaired/over 80
  • 18 Liquor Licence Act
  • 3 Missing Person
  • 3 Motor Vehicle Collision
  • 5 Mischief
  • 11 Police Assistance
  • 5 Police Information
  • 2 R.I.D.E. Checks
  • 3 Shoplift
  • 10 Traffic Complaints
  • 6 Trespass to Property Act
  • 6 Theft
  • 18 Unwanted Person
