Rainfall Warning

Sandy Lake – WEATHER – A rainfall warning is in effect, issued tonight by Environment Canada.

Rainfall is expected Monday. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm. Locally higher rainfall amounts are possible in thunderstorms. The ground, already saturated, has little ability to absorb further rainfall.

Light rain is expected to come an end this evening. A low pressure system from the Dakotas will then bring another round of heavier rainfall to the region beginning Monday morning into Monday afternoon.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Pikangikum – Poplar Hill – MacDowell
  • Sandy Lake – Weagamow Lake – Deer Lake
