Success is subjective, so it is often difficult to define. Entrepreneur Manish Mickey Oberoi worked hard to get to where he is, and he has a strong opinion about what success means to him.

Manish Mickey Oberoi started his career handling social and music events. He now does marketing, events, endorsement deals with brands, and activations. Oberoi now works with A-List celebrities, Fortune 500 companies, and some of the world’s most loved brands. “I’ve had so much success in a short amount of time,” he said. “I think it’s because of the warm, friendly way I treat my clients while still getting everything done.” He started this career because he always found it easy to network and make friends, so he knew he could draw people in. “I’ve been a people person my whole life,” Manish Mickey Oberoi said. “I love to make people happy. That’s my main goal with my work.”

Oberoi believes his primary metric for success is delivering memorable experiences to his clients. “I want my event or marketing strategy to stand out from the rest,” he said. “My goal is for everyone to remember my work for years to come. I want the client to be extremely happy with my work; hopefully, so much that they’ll hire me again.” When he creates events, he also bases his success on how much fun the audience has. “You want people to enjoy themselves and tell their friends how much fun they had. That’s when I know I’ve done a great job.” Manish Mickey Oberoi has a unique way of marketing and believes in the power of well-timed, thoughtful conversations. “I love communicating with my clients, figuring out what their vision is, and then executing as best as absolutely possible.”

When you’re trying to determine the success of your company, pay attention to how satisfied your clients are. For entrepreneurs like Manish Mickey Oberoi, that’s the most important thing.
