Manitouwadge Volunteer Firefighters all Take Leave of Absence

MANITOUWADGE – NEWS – Be extra careful with fire in Manitouwadge. The community’s firefighters have all taken a leave of absence today.

For the time being Manitouwadge will be relying on the firefighters from Marathon for fire protection.

The news came to Manitouwadge residents via a Facebook posting this morning. The message says that the 21 firefighters are taking the leave of absence over safety concerns.
