Nishnawbe Aski Police Growing by 17 New Officers

Thunder Bay – On Thursday, May 27, at 10:00 a.m., Chief of Police Roland Morrison will be presenting Nishnawbe Aski Police Service badges to 17 new police officers.

The presentation ceremony will be joined by Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board member Zach Tait, remarks of encouragement from Chief Morrison and Acting Deputy Chief Brad Duce.

The graduating police officers are Constables Aaron Cooper, Sam Couce, Danyle Copetti, Peter Franken, Dillon Lever, Tyler Moskalyk, Brendan Myre, Zach Nixon, Autumn Olsen, Carlos Panetta, Matt Quesnel-Lafontaine, Abby Tabachak, Ezatollah Teimuri, Sarellah Teimuri, and Rocky Turtle.

They will be attending various postings for their Coach Officer Training to areas such as Eabametoong First Nation, Moose Factory First Nation, Sandy Lake First Nation, and Kashechewan First Nation.


The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service is a First Nation Policing Service which serves 34 of the 49 communities in the Nishnawbe Aski Nation located in Northern Ontario. For more information on NAPS Recruitment please visit joinnaps.ca.
