Thunder Bay Police Investigating Sudden Death at Water Street Transit Terminal

Thunder Bay – Thunder Bay Police are on scene at the Waterfront Transit terminal. Police have the terminal blocked off with crime scene tape this morning as they are investigating a sudden death.

First responders were dispatched to the area shortly after 5:15 am EST on Thursday, Feb. 25 following reports of a male on the property in possible medical distress.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and Superior North EMS were also dispatched to the scene.

An adult male was located and transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was pronounced dead.

Members of the TBPS Major Crimes Unit are now investigating. A police presence will remain in the area and transit is being rerouted to Van Norman Street as the investigation continues.
