Thunder Bay – WEATHER – Another day of contrasts across Western and Northern Ontario today. The cold spot in Ontario this morning at -32.0 °C is Muskrat Dam. It is -2 in Thunder Bay this morning,

There are no weather advisories or warnings for the region. However if you are travelling, be aware that there is a Winter Weather Advisory for Sault Ste. Marie.

What: Snow, heavy at times. Total amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected by early this afternoon. The highest amounts are expected along and south of the Highway 17 corridor.

Where: Southern portions of Algoma District including Sault Ste. Marie and Elliot Lake. This includes sections of the following highways:
– Highway 17
– Highway 129
– Highway 108

When: Through to early this afternoon. The heaviest snowfall is expected from 6:00 A.M. EST to 10:00 A.M. EST.

Thunder Bay Weather Outlook

Thunder Bay will see mainly cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of snow flurries this morning. Skies will then be clearing later this morning. Winds will become northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 this morning. High of -3. Wind chill near 12.

Tonight, expect clear skies to start the evening. There will be increasing cloudiness near midnight then a 70 percent chance of snow flurries overnight. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. Low -12. Wind chill near -15.

Greenstone – Geraldton Weather Outlook

It is -11 in Geraldton this morning at 06:30. The forecast is calling for a few snow flurries ending near noon then a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 percent chance of flurries. Winds will become northwest 20 km/h early this afternoon. High -10. Wind chill -15 this morning and -20 this afternoon.

Tonight, expect clear skies. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. Low -21. Wind chill -18 this evening and -28 overnight.

Sachigo Lake Weather Outlook
