Police Arrest Tyrone Dwight Anthony GOODMAN – Charged with Drug Trafficking Offences

Thunder Bay – UPDATE – Thunder Bay Police report that Tyrone Dwight Anthony GOODMAN, of Ottawa has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking offences after police observed him attempting to hide or dispose of suspected cocaine early Thursday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Picton Avenue following reports of a woman in distress just after 3 am EST on Thursday, January 14, 2021.

Police entered the home and located the woman and checked on her welfare.

While inside the home, police observed a male in a bathroom without a door appearing to flush or hide suspected narcotics in the toilet. Police then observed a bag of suspected cocaine floating in the toilet.

The accused was arrested without incident. He was also found to be in possession of more than $5,000 in cash suspected to be obtained by crime.

The accused was transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street.

Tyrone Dwight Anthony GOODMAN, 27, of Ottawa, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
• Obstruct Peace Officer

He appeared in bail court on Thursday, January 14, 2021 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.

All accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
