Another Death at Southbridge Roseview from COVID-19
Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 18 new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region.
This brings the total for current active cases to 84.
There is one new case at the Southbridge Roseview Long-Term care home.
The long-term care home reports, “Southbridge Roseview is in a confirmed COVID-19 outbreak with 6 active staff cases. These staff members are currently isolating and recovering at home. It is with deep sadness that we share that 21 residents have passed as a result of this virus.”
14 of the new cases are at the Thunder Bay District Jail.
Two cases have been resolved. There are three patients in hospital and two patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
All eighteen of the new cases are in the Thunder Bay and surrounding communities.
The health unit reports two of the cases are from close contact, and one has no known exposure.
Ontario COVID-19 Numbers
Province wide – Ontario has reporting 2,961 new cases of COVID-19. New cases of the virus remain at numbers below 3,000 for the second straight day.
Toronto remains Ontario’s hotspot with 738 new cases, followed by 536 in Peel Region, 245 in Windsor-Essex County, 219 in York Region and 171 in Hamilton.
